How can I tell I need the House Rewiring?
Some things are obvious. If the power sockets are the old round pin type and/or located in the skirting board, if the light switches are the old, black, round toggle switch type, if the light flex from the ceiling is braided, then you can be fairly sure that the wiring is very old and may even be dangerous. Less obviously, if there are very few power sockets in the rooms, and they’re only single sockets, again the installation could be quite old and in need of attention. Clearly, if fittings are showing signs of damage, these should be inspected and replaced as soon as possible.
As a rule, House Rewiring should be undertaken every 25 years, but if regular inspections and maintenance by qualified electricians take place, then a full rewiring can be avoided. If you’re uncertain about your property, call MD Bespoke Solutions and we can arrange an inspection and make recommendations based on what we find.
