We were called to inspect a terraced house in Clapham after the owners had carried out minor upgrades to the rear of the property. As we were performing our standard safety checks, we found that the existing wiring was not up to standard and the bathroom lighting needed to be replaced with the correct IP rated bulbs. This was required to be able to provide a certificate of installation for the job.

To further comply with building regulations, we also had to replace the consumer unit as it was not fit for purpose and the load on the existing board was too high and would have been prone to shorting out.

As we were completing the installation of the consumer unit, the homeowner requested the installation of additional lights in the cupboard beneath the stairs.

In addition to the internal lights, they also requested the installation of outside lights in the back garden. These were installed as 2 wall lights and 2 spike lights (to go in the ground to light up the walk way)

This was a fairly simple job to complete and we were done within a day. As the property had recently been renovated, we took extra care not to cause any damage to the walls as we knew they would not be repainted by the homeowner.
