We would like to share the latest project we had the pleasure of working on.
Our client, a property management company, contacted us to carry out the replacement of the Emergency Lighting Systems and upgrading of the Communal area electrical supply in three large blocks of flats.
Here at MDBS, we recognise the importance of safety and keeping your electrical systems up-to-date and in line with current regulations. Emergency lighting plays a critical role in building safety and providing visibility, particularly in an evacuation scenario.
With an expert team of engineers, we advised, designed, and installed a new Emergency Lighting System for all residential blocks.
The lighting fixtures had to be strategically placed for safety purposes to make sure residents have a safe exit from the building in the event of an emergency. The cables and trunking needed to be unobtrusive and avoid damage to the property.
The Communal area electrical supply in each residential block was assessed, reconsidered, and upgraded. We have installed a new Consumer Unit for each block. We have also installed a separate isolator for each flat within the block, so any future electrical works within a property can be completed safely.
We provided our client with a detailed schedule of works which we stringently upheld. Prior to the works, we sent letters to all the flats to advise residents that a qualified supervisor was available to answer any questions. This allowed for a smooth flow of works and completion of the job on schedule.
We have also provided Emergency Lighting maintenance and servicing contracts to help our client maintain compliance with electrical and safety regulations.
We are pleased with the finished result and so is our client.
