Landlords’ safety checks and periodic electrical inspections in Hamsey Green
From July 1st 2020, it became mandatory for all landlords in England to have the electrical installations within their rental properties checked once every five years. We are trusted by landlords, estate agents, and property managers in Hamsey Green, Warlingham, or Whyteleafe to complete all the electrical safety checks they need. Our checks go beyond visual inspections and will look at the complete system, looking at the integrity of all internal wiring, as well as fixtures and fittings.
We will detail all our findings in a written report along with any remedial action that is required to bring the system up to standard. If any faults are found, landlords must ensure any repairs are carried out as swiftly as possible at least within 28 days of the inspection. Failure to do this can result in hefty fines.
What are CR6 EICRs for?
Whilst we cannot physically see the electricity that we use, we take for granted the cabled and installations that we use every day. An electrical safety test or audit in Warlingham will look for:
- Overloaded electrical circuits
- Fuse and circuit breakers
- Defective work
- Lack of earthing or bonding
- Condition of any fixed wiring
- Potential hazards
Our business is approved by the National Inspection Consul for Electrical Inspections Contracting, which means we are our work is regularly assessed to ensure high standards.
