Our client had recently purchased a flat in the desirable location of Ansell Road in Tooting and needed a complete rewiring service. The electrics had not been touched since the property was converted into flats over 40 years ago and a number of the elements were in a really bad state. The main problem was that the sub-main cable was not suitable for the requirements of the property. Being a 10mm cable the amount of electrical load would be far greater than it could cope with which is one problem but, the main issue was that it was not properly insulated and was coiled around itself in places which could lead to overheating and possibly a fire!

This allowed us to rethink the lighting and socket placements as previously the kitchen and bedroom suffered from not having enough plug points.
As more of us are using electronic devices as part of our daily routine, we know that they have to be plugged in and charged somewhere so making sure you have enough sockets in your home is crucial now so we set about re-planning this for our client.
Whilst updating the complete electrical wiring system, we also redesigned the lighting throughout the property and installed energy saving LED spotlights. Not only would this save energy and have lower running costs but the amount of light from these new spot lights would mean the smaller spaces would appear airy and larger.
